This is a video taken on the 2007 Donor Delegate trip to the Balkans which demonstrates how a minefield is cleared. Notice how carefully the dog and his handler scan the land for mines.

You’ll note there is a garden there, and just beyond, the MDDC dog & handler team are working to clear the minefield. The family actually planted the garden in spite of the minefield because they had to eat….no one died because of it, thank God."
